    Derrick Offshore will open an office in Aberdeen, to be headed by Fraser Ralley, former business development manager of Canyon Offshore. Ralley has been involved in the offshore subsea construction industry for many years, having worked in Australia, Brunei, Singapore, the US and Aberdeen. He is recognized as a leading specialist in submarine pipeline and cable trenching. Dean A. Cole was named VP and general counsel at Knight Oil Tools, where he will provide corporate legal counsel to the Knight companies. Prior to his appointment, Cole was engaged in general corporate civil litigation as a partner at the Laborde & Neuner Law Firm in Lafayette, La. Oceaneering International, Inc., promoted M. Kevin McEvoy to executive VP. In this capacity, he will have the responsibility for four business segments: Subsea Projects, Mobile Offshore Production Systems, Inspection and Advanced Technologies. McEvoy has been with the firm for 27 years, serving most recently as senior VP, Western Region.
