Jorunn Sætre joins AGR to lead Norway Rig Team, Stavanger office
STAVANGER -- Jorunn Sætre has joined AGR and will lead the Norwegian Rig Team and manage the company’s Stavanger office.
Prior to her recent return to Norway, Sætre held the role of Vice President with Halliburton, working in Houston, with responsibility for technology and production enhancement activities. She was previously Country V.P. for Halliburton Scandinavia for 10 years.
In 2008 Jorunn was awarded the title of “Oil Woman of the Year” by the Stavanger Society of Petroleum Engineers – an honour which has been reserved for men, as “Oil Man of the Year” for the previous 20 years.
An Engineering graduate of Bergen Ingeniørhøgskole, Jorunn has held a number of board directorships and honorary offices in Norwegian business life, including IRIS (International Research Institute of Stavanger), NHO (Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise), NOG (Norwegian Oil and Gas Association), NPF (Norwegian Petroleum Society), and ONS (oil conference in Stavanger).
