HOUSTON -- INOVA Geophysical has promoted Dr. Arjun Selvakumar to V.P. of Digital Sensors. INOVA’s digital sensor technology, VectorSeis, is a multicomponent sensor offered as a part of the company’s broadband solution that captures the full seismic wavefield, and provides E&P imaging for strategic drilling programs.
Prior to joining INOVA, Selvakumar served as V.P. of product development for Colibrys, a global supplier of micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)-based sensors, and when the company consolidated to Switzerland, he held the position of director of engineering of the digital sensor product line for ION Geophysical/INOVA from 2009-13. In these roles, Selvakumar was instrumental in directing engineering teams on product design, development, quality control and resource optimization, which drove the launch of the ML21/MT21 Digital Sensor. His experience also includes overseeing all operations, research and product development of the MEMS engineering group for Applied MEMS.
