Far East Energy announces gas production surpasses 2,000 Mcfgd

HOUSTON -- Far East Energy Corporation, operator of the Shouyang Block Coalbed Methane (CBM) Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in Shanxi Province, China, announced a continued rise in gas production from the block, since the last release on Jan. 22.

Following its most recent announcement that gas production at Shouyang had reached 1,797 Mcfgd, as of Jan. 20, management has now announced that, as of Feb. 11, production has reached 2,030 Mcfgd.

This is up 13% from the previous production figure, and is almost three times higher than the 738 Mcfgd produced for the week ending Nov. 12.
