EPA chief Lisa Jackson to resign

WASHINGTON D.C. -- Lisa Jackson, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, said she plans to resign. Jackson has been the Obama administration's environmental watchdog since 2009.

Jackson said she will step down shortly after President Barack Obama's State of the Union speech. "I will leave the EPA confident the ship is sailing in the right direction," Jackson said in a statement.
