EIC appoints Claire Miller as its new CEO

LONDON -- The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, has appointed Claire Miller as its new CEO.

Miller, who will be based in the EIC’s London office, will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure continued, consistent promotion of members’ interests and the EIC’s reputation as the leading trade association for the energy industry.

Miller joined the EIC in January 1996 as membership director when 185 companies were in membership and by 2000 had established a full Membership team. Membership has since continued to grow to its current level of 686 UK companies.

Following this period of growth in both membership and services, Miller became director of UK operations in 2012, overseeing the burgeoning UK, National and Overseas Events, Training, Membership and Marketing departments.

The appointment follows completion of a 6-month term as Interim CEO.
