Det Norske Oljeselskap confirms oil at Johan Sverdrup extension well

TRONDHEIM -- Det norske said it has confirmed a 14 m oil column in well 16/5-3, being drilled in the southern extension of the Johan Sverdrup area in the Norwegian North Sea.
Logging in the reservoir section is still in an initial phase and coring of the reservoir will be made in a sidetrack well immediately following logging operations. Final results are thus not yet available.
Statoil is operator for Production Licence 502 (44.44%). Petoro and Det norske are partners with 33.33% and 22.22%, respectively.
