Det Norske Oljeselskap confirms 6 to 8 Bcm of gas on Salina

STAVANGER -- Det Norske Oljeselskap said that well 7220/10-1 in the Salina prospect in production license 533 has confirmed the existence of gas in two reservoir units, with volumes estimated at between 6 and 8 Bcm.
Det norske oljeselskap announced the discovery of hydrocarbons in the prospect, operated by Eni. The operator's estimate of recoverable gas volumes is between 6 and 8 Bcm.
With the existing infrastructure for gas processing and transport in the Barents Sea, the gas discovery is not considered commercial by Det norske. Det norske holds a 20% interest in the license.
