Delivery of COSL' s HYSY944 jackup expected in late 2015

BEIJING -- China Oilfield Services (COSL) has announced that construction of its 400-ft jackup rig HYSY944, initiated last year, commenced recently in a shipyard after completing the design and procurement stages.

The rig is expected to complete construction and be delivered at the end of 2015.

HYSY944 adopted the CJ50-X120-F hull designed by GUSTO MSC. It is a cutting-edge high-end jackup rig widely recognized in the international market. It is designed to operate at water depths of 400 ft and is capable of performing drilling operations at depths of up to 30,000 ft. Distinguished from the other existing jackup rigs, HYSY944, with its large pile shoe design, meets the operation requirements in some soft-crust regions, where more drilling depths are required.
