Chevron to search for shale gas in Poland
US supermajor Chevron has been a concession by Poland to search for shale gas in the south-eastern part of the country, the environment ministry said today.
In the course of the last two years, the ministry has granted 30 such concessions in Poland, to companies including ExxonMobil, Lane Energy and Marathon Oil.
Chevron will have five years to explore shale gas in the vicinity of the city of Zamosc.
