Canada resources minister: Confident Keystone will be approved

OTTAWA — Canada's Resources Minister, Joe Oliver, said Wednesday he remains confident the White House, under re-elected President Barack Obama, will eventually approve TransCanada Corp.'s Keystone XL pipeline project.
"It is clearly in the U.S. national interest," said Mr. Oliver, before attending the weekly Conservative Party caucus meeting.
Mr. Obama rejected the pipeline earlier this year, pending further review. His Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, had said during the U.S. election campaign that one of his first acts would be to approve the pipeline extension.
