Cameron to become distributor of Profire Energy’s combustion technologies
HOUSTON, Texas, and LINDON, Utah -- Cameron and Profire Energy, Inc. announced that Cameron will become a non-exclusive authorized distributor of Profire Energy’s combustion technologies, which include burner management systems (BMS) and flare ignition systems (FIS). Cameron, a Fortune 500 company that provides flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries, chose to add Profire Energy’s technologies to its portfolio of systems after extensive industry review concluded these technologies could improve safety and efficiency for its customers.
"Our goal is to provide the most innovative technologies to help our customers meet the myriad challenges associated with producing, transporting and processing oil and gas,” said Kenneth Kmiec, general manager of branch operations, Cameron Process Systems. “This longstanding commitment led us to Profire Energy. The company’s products reduce costs, improve efficiency and potentially save lives by providing advanced management of combustion systems, which reduces manual interaction in the combustion burner relighting and adjustment process.”
Profire Energy’s combustion technologies include:
• The PF2100 BMS, a full-capacity burner management system that uses spark and flame-detection technologies to automatically ignite and re-ignite the burner flame. It also provides the ability to manage temperature setpoints and safety shut-downs.
• The new PF1300 FIS, a flare ignition system for combustors and open-flare applications. While this entry-level system does not manage valves for shutdowns or temperature control, the PF1300 FIS uses the same spark and flame-detection technology as the PF2100 BMS to detect and relay the status of the pilot flame and automatically reignite the pilot.
• A patent-pending airplate, which allows the user to adjust air flow through the fire tube.
“With an increased focus on the safe operation of natural draft-fired heaters on oil and gas wells over the past decade, there’s been a growing demand for combustion management products,” said Brenton Hatch, chief executive officer, Profire Energy. “Cameron’s decision to distribute our products speaks to this growing demand and to the quality of our products.”
