    Cameron has acquired Precision Downhole Pumps, a US-based manufacturer of artificial lift equipment. Precision designs, builds, distributes and services rod lift pumping systems and associated services. Precision, based in Iola, Kansas, will be integrated into the Surface Systems division of Cameron’s Drilling & Production Systems group based in Houston. Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids has purchased the assets of North East Mud Services Co. LLC (NEMSco) of Clarksburg, W.Va. NEMSco is a supplier of drilling fluids and solids control equipment in the northeast US, with bases in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio. Schlumberger has opened a new oilfield technology center in Calgary, Alta., Canada. The Heavy Oil Regional Technology Center (RTC) will provide an environment where clients can work with Schlumberger geoscientists and engineers to solve key technical challenges associated with heavy oil recovery.
