Adil Toubia appointed CEO of the Siemens Oil & Gas Division
Siemens announced that Adil Toubia will become CEO of the Oil & Gas Division of Siemens Energy. He succeeds Tom Blades, who has been appointed as a member of the Managing Board of Linde AG. Adil Toubia brings three decades of experience in this branch of industry and was most recently a partner in Energy Capital Group, a private equity investment firm in the oil and gas industry. Prior to that, he held executive positions at GCC Energy Fund and Schlumberger. “We’re pleased to have secured a recognized leader with international experience in the oil and gas industry as CEO of our Oil & Gas Division,” said Michael Suess, member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and CEO of the Energy Sector.
Adil Toubia studied at Columbia University in New York and gained a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 1981. He then began his professional career at Schlumberger, where he worked for 22 years and held various executive positions. Toubia is married and has two children. He speaks fluent Arabic and English, as well as German, French and Norwegian. He is a Norwegian national.
