AMPOL finalizes acquisition of Louisiana location

NEW IBERIA, Louisiana - – American Pollution Control Corp. (AMPOL) has finalized the purchase of Berry Brothers Remediation in Bayou Vista, La., announced President and CEO, Kirk Headley.

The new location is equipped to handle Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) remediation and decontamination. Features of the facility include a five-acre dockside to load and unload boats in addition to a large loading and unloading zone for trucks. The strategic location of the Bayou Vista site, which is centered in the Gulf of Mexico region, allows immediate access to gulf waters.

Under the management of Bo Sanner, AMPOL’s NORM Facility Manager, AMPOL will expand its regional presence and make environmental services readily available to the area.

“With new locations in Nederland, Texas, and Bayou Vista, La., our business is continuing to grow to meet the needs of our clients,” said Headley. “This new, centrally-located waterfront location will not only provide us with an additional base of operations for our many services, but it will also greatly increase the range of NORM services we offer.”
